Burna Boy reacts as Angelique Kidjo dedicates her fourth Grammy win to him [video]

Nigerian Afro-fusion singer, Damini Ogulu popularly called Burna Boy, has reacted after Angélique Kidjo beat him to win the 2020 Grammy award for Best World Music.

This is the 4th time the Beninese and African legend is taking home an award at the coveted award show. According to reports, she has been nominated nine times at the Grammy Awards.

The legendary singer dedicated her award to Burna Boy after winning the plaque for her album titled ‘Celia’.

Despite the disappointment of many Nigerian music lovers, Burna Boy appears to have taken it in good stride and has even gone ahead to send a sweet message to Kidjo after she dedicated her award to him.

He wrote: “I love you forever @angeliquekidjo and every single person that rooted for me, I don’t take any of it lightly! The world get ready cause we’re all coming!”

Burna Boy’s Instagram post was accompanied with the video of Angélique Kidjo receiving her award and dedicating it to him.
