Multiple award-winning gospel singer, Joyce Blessing, has finally breaks her silence after the incident between her and colleague gospel singer Cecilia Marfo.
Earlier this year Cecilia Marfo outdid herself when she snatched gospel singer Joyce Blessing’s microphone during a performance just to ask her to go back to her divorced husband because God said so.
This incident took place during Unity Group of Companies’ annual thanksgiving service on January 22, 2021. Shortly after this, the video went viral on social media.

Madam Marfo, who was said to have been consumed by the Holy Spirit, said God was using Miss Blessing for His work but what was left was for her to go back to her marriage.
Cecilia Marfo’s mike-snatching was nothing short of a violent attack, but Joyce Blessing was most gracious about it and did not open up about how she felt about the incident till now.
Reacting to this on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Miss Blessing said although she believes in prophecies Madam Marfo’s gesture was not appropriate.
She explained that the prophecy was not from God because Madam Marfo could’ve spoken to her in private but not to grab the microphone from her to tell the whole world.
“Sometimes when God tells you something you have to apply wisdom… a pastor would have told me privately. We hear prophecies many times… You don’t do it when the people are going through trauma.

Joyce Blessing said that because she had been taught not to talk back at an elderly person, she chose not to challenge Cecelia Marfo.
Nonetheless, Miss Blessing said Madam Marfo called her the following day after the incident to apologise.
