Amid the controversy surrounding romantic displays by military officers, a Nigerian soldier has proposed to his girlfriend.

In a video circulating online, the lady shyly covered her face as the army man waited for her to say yes to his proposal.
She stretched out her hand as an indication of acceptance, and he put the ring in her finger. They then sealed it with a hug as a crowd cheered and clapped.
This, however sparked mixed reactions especially considering how a female soldier was arrested and detained weeks ago after she accepted a public proposal by a male corp member and k!ssed him.
