Country music singer Loretta Lynn was known for turning out iconic hits and singing about her life in Appalachia died at age 90.
Her death was confirmed by her family on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

Loretta Lynn was an American country singer and songwriter.
She is best known for her songs You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man) and Don’t Come Home A-Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ on Your Mind).
She was the most-awarded female country recording artist.
Her family announced in a statement she passed away at the age of 90 at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
How did her husband Oliver Lynn die?
Lynn’s husband Oliver passed away five days before his 70th birthday in August of 1996.
His death was attributed to diabetes-related complications and heart disease.
Lynn and Oliver were married for nearly 50 years.

Betty Sue Lynn died at age 64 of emphysema near her mother’s ranch in 2013.
Jack Benny Lynn passed away at the age of 35 in July of 1984 trying to walk across the Duck River at the family’s ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Their other children include Clara Marie “Cissie,” 68, Ernest Ray “Ernie,” 69, and twins Peggy Jean and Patsy Eileen Lynn, 56.

Her life was made into a motion picture, Coal Miner’s Daughter. The movie was based on her book. Actress Sissy Spacek portrayed Lynn in the film.
