Migos rapper Takeoff has died at the age of 28 after being shot in Houston in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Rapper Takeoff , whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, is said to have been playing a dice game with his bandmate Quavo when a shooter opened fire at bowling alley 810 Billiards & Bowling at 2.30am.

Law enforcement rushed to the scene, where Tαkeoff was pronounced dead.

A Houston Police spokesperson told reporters Migos rappers Takeoff and Quavo were at the scene but will not be releasing the formal identity of the male deceased yet.

Footage of Quavo trying to help his bandmate has reportedly been seen by TMZ, with the heartbroken star calling for help as his nephew Takeoff lies on the ground wounded.

The publication reports another two people were shot and taken to hospital and that Quavo wasn’t injured in the shooting.

Tαkeoff, who’s real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, was the youngest member of Migos. Quavo was his uncle, and Offset his cousin.

They came together as a group in 2008 in Georgia, and became multi-platinum hitmakers … dropping their first major hit, “Versace,” in 2013. They would hit number one on Billboard in 2016 with “Bad and Boujee.”
