Actor Lance Reddick, known for his impressive roles on HBO’s The Wire and the John Wick franchise, has died at age 60.

Born on June 7, 1962, Lance Reddick is remembered for his parts in HBO’s The Wire and the John Wick movie franchise.

Hailing from Maryland, Reddick experienced a career breakthrough when he was cast as Cedric Daniels in the above-mentioned TV series.

He played the character for six years and went on to obtain more roles in television.

From 2008 to 2013, he portrayed special agent Phillip Broyles in the FOX sci-fi program Fringe.

Reddick also appeared in Lost, HBO’s Oz, Bosch, American Horror Story, and Law & Order: SVU.

On the big screen, Reddick had roles in Angel Has Fallen, Godzilla vs. Kong, and the last three films in the John Wick franchise.

Unfortunately, he died just days before the fourth movie’s theatrical release on March 24, 2023.

The late actor also has a posthumous appearance as Zeus in Percy Jackson and the Olympians, which is scheduled for a Disney+ release in early 2024.

When did Lance Reddick die?

On March 17, 2023, Lance Reddick was found dead at his home in Studio City.

He is survived by his wife Stephanie and his three children; Yvonne, Nicole, and Christopher.

An official cause of death has yet to be determined but TMZ reports his passing is suspected to be from natural causes.
