Who was Corrine Kline?

Corrine Kline was an Edmonton-based woman who was best known for being a constable in the Edmonton Police Service. She joined the EPS in September 2001 as a member of Recruit Training Class 98, when she was just 23 years old.

Constable Corrine was a part of the Neighborhood Engagement Team and offered support to the neighbourhood by working as a bridge from the community to the Edmonton police. She was one of those community engagement officers who really loved to interact with the public and help them. She always had a positive attitude, a big heart, and was full of enthusiasm. If you ever attended an EPS Bike Registration event, you must be aware that she used to be one of the first to sign up to help.

Over her twenty-two-year long career with the EPS, Corinne served in patrol, worked on the front counter, and was also a volunteer coordinator. She assisted domestic violence survivors and joined the Healthy Streets Operation Center Community Safety Team shortly before her death.

Edmonton Police Service’s Constable. Corrine Kline passed away unfortunately on Wednesday, March 23, 2023. No official statement about the cause of her death has been made till now, thus the cause of Corrine Kline’s death is currently unknown.

The news of  Kline’s passing was announced by Edmonton Police with a post on their Twitter, @edmontonpolice. It reads, “It is with profound sadness that the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) announces the passing of Constable Corinne Kline.” Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time. “We will miss her dearly.”

Twitter reacts to Corrine Kline’s death

Following the announcement of Kline’s unfortunate death by the Edmonton Police, Edmonton City Mayor, Amarjeet Sohi, expressed his condolences by sharing a tweet on his Twitter handle, @AmarjeetSohiYEG. The tweet reads, “I am saddened by the death of Cst. Corrine Kline, and my thoughts are with her family and the entire Edmonton Police Department during this heartbreaking time.”

“To say it’s been a difficult week for the service and our community is an understatement. “My heart goes out to each and every member who is dealing with this loss, all while working to keep our community safe,” the tweet concluded.

We share our heartfelt sympathies with the family members, friends, and colleagues of the late Corrine . Her death is a huge loss for the entire Edmonton community, especially her family, and we pray to God to give everyone the power to bear this loss. Constable Corrine might have died, but her legacy will remain alive forever.
