Unfortunately, this incident led to the death of both children, with a 12-year-old girl named Paris Harvey shooting her 14-year-old cousin Kuaron Harvey before turning the gun on herself.

The girl’s grandmother, Susan Dyson, who had rented the apartment to celebrate their March birthdays, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the children were not arguing but instead were playing with the gun when it went off by mistake.
The two cousins were very close and had been raised together. Kuaron’s mother and Paris’s father are siblings, which makes their bond even stronger.
They often made videos and pulled pranks together, with Paris being a funny seventh grader who loved getting her hair and nails done and had a beautiful voice, while Kuaron was described as a goofy eighth grader who had long been able to do backflips.

According to family members, the cousins were alone in a bathroom, making a video in the mirror before the shooting occurred.
The video reportedly showed Paris reaching for the gun after Kuaron was shot, and it may have accidentally gone off again. Both children were shot in the head.
Shinise Harvey, Paris’s mother, described the incident as a freak accident, saying that the children were “trying to be too hip. She had not seen the video herself, but family members had described it to her.
The incident has left the family devastated, and they are struggling to come to terms with their loss. They have described it as a tragic accident, and there is no evidence to suggest that.
