Logan was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, May 6th, 2023. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones, as well as to Paityn Petersen and her family, who also suffered a devastating loss in the same accident.
According to a Facebook post, Paityn Petersen lost her brother in the accident, and we ask that you please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
At this point, no further details about the accident have been released. We hope that in time, those affected by this tragedy will find comfort and solace in each other’s love and support.
Who was Logan Ries
We mourn the loss of Logan, who was an incredibly positive and radiant presence in the lives of all those who knew him.

I was asked why I do what I do with photography yesterday. It is not simply capturing moments in time, it is treasuring moments of life for me — looking into young eyes so full of hope, dreams and promise. Sometimes those moments come to a difficult and unexpected end. Logan Ries passed yesterday in a motorcycle accident. Too young, too much yet to give. Many hearts are breaking. It tears you apart when young people leave this life. Thanks for the brief moments I spent with you on the sidelines Logan. I did not know you well but what I know is enough. Death may come like a thief in the night but it will never steal our memories.
