Linebaugh was born on November 15, 1955, and was living in Cody, Wyoming, in the United States. He moved out of his hometown in 1976 and used to hang out with the likes of Lee Jurras of Super Vel Cartridges and Dick Casull. Soon, he started creating custom revolvers in some of the largest calibers in the world.

According to reports, a public visitation ceremony will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ballard Funeral Home in Cody on Saturday, March 25, 2023. The graveside service will be held at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at the Bennett Buttes Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Clark Pioneer Recreation Center.
